About

Welcome to Princeton Students in Quantum (previously Princeton Quantum Computing)!

Established in Spring 2021, Princeton Students in Quantum (PSQ) aims to foster a community of learners on Princeton’s campus, provide accessible resources to all individuals interested in quantum computing or quantum engineering, and connect students with faculty and/or industry professionals within the field.

Our Approach

OUR MISSION

Building Community
Improving Accessibility
Contributing to the Field

OUR VISION

We hope to provide a space for students and other community members interested in quantum to meet each other, work together, and learn more about their common interests. We especially want to help interested students participate in external events that are difficult to do alone–hackathons, team challenges, and trips/lessons from guest speakers that the average student may not have the time to organize alone.

A Message from the Founding Members

During Fall and Spring 2020-21, many of us felt isolated not only socially but also academically, particularly in our extra-curricular learning endeavors.  Most of us never had the opportunity to pursue any formal education in quantum computing or quantum engineering before Princeton, and all of us were looking for a few others who could support and learn with us as we dug into self-study.

We were surprised to discover not only one or two but several peers with similar interests in quantum computing even within the confines of virtual classes. PQC was founded in March 2021 in hopes of becoming and building a visible community of learners, industry and faculty mentors, and friends.
